Siamo aperti dal lunedì al sabato dalle 10 alle 17 e i lavori per il nostro entusiasmante progetto di ristrutturazione del seminterrato in uno spazio dedicato alle sculture e alle ceramiche sono quasi terminati. Siamo davvero entusiasti di condividere con te questo nuovo spazio espositivo molto speciale.

The second artist that we are delighted to welcome to Cornwall Contemporary is Alice Mumford. Many of you will already be familiar with Alice’s extraordinarily beautiful, light-filled still life paintings and I’m thrilled that we have a number of her works in our new exhibition which celebrates 20 years of Cornwall Contemporary.
“I come from a long line of women painters where painting was as commonplace as eating or listening to the radio. An everyday thing. As a child my family lived and worked in many different countries. With every new place we went, my mother made a sense of belonging and beauty with the things she took with her. Particularly with the way the meal table was laid. Different coloured tablemats, plates and napkins always there to welcome us. Perhaps this is where my love of still life comes from.”…
I’m thrilled that we have two new wonderful artists who have joined Cornwall Contemporary. The first is Pippa Young and she will be well known to many of you, she has worldwide collectors of her intricate paintings and drawings of figures and has an esteemed reputation and we are lucky to have her join us here at CC. Pippa has a number of paintings, drawings, a cyanotype and a sculpture in our new 20th Anniversary exhibition and I am so excited to share her exquisite work with you all.…
It’s so exciting to have a new floor to consider when hanging exhibitions and the setting and lighting in our new basement gallery is perfect for this piece on aluminium by Anthony Garratt ‘Inca Finca’. Please note that I will be closed all day on Monday 17th August whilst I hang our very exciting 20th Anniversary exhibition which features incredible work on all four floors of the gallery by all of our wonderful artists. We will be back open for you again on Tuesday 18th August.…
Last few days now of our utterly brilliant Jim Moir AKA Vic Reeves exhibition Congo Yonder. It’s been pure joy seeing all of our visitors over the last few weeks respond so enthusiastically to the works in this show – a true delight. Thank you for all of your excitement and huge thanks to Jim for giving us a third solo show and for being so generous with his time when he was here and big thanks to Nancy too. The last day you have to see this incredible show in its entirety is Saturday 15th August – so come to Penzance if you can!…
