A big thank you to everyone who came to the opening of David Mankin’s exhibition Odysseys, so many of you travelled such a long way (special mention to Mark from Chicago!) It was a superb start to this wonderful exhibition with red dots appearing thick and fast and a lot of excitement. The exhibition is on until 24th October so there is plenty of time for you all to come and visit and you can see all of the work and the immersive 3d reality tour on our website too.
A wonderful morning filming with ITV News for our new David Mankin exhibition Odysseys. David was interviewed about his working process, his paintings, new book and this wonderful new collection of work and I chatted about his phenomenal success in the art world. We were also joined by one of David’s collectors Mark, who has flown in from Chicago especially to attend David’s private view this weekend and he was asked what it is about David’s paintings that makes him fly halfway around the world to come and see his work. It will probably air on ITV Westcountry News tomorrow – Friday 25th Sept but don’t worry if you miss it as I’ll post it in full on our website.
I’m delighted to say that our David Mankin exhibition Odysseys is hung nice and early for you all to come along and view in the gallery now.
David will be in the gallery this Saturday 26th September between 11am – 1pm and is looking forward to seeing you all at the launch of this extra special exhibition and the launch of his new book.
Wonderful to see David Mankin yesterday as we received the paintings for his forthcoming exhibition Odysseys which opens next week. David has been exhibiting with us for 10 years and this is his 6th solo exhibition with us. It’s been a joy to see his career soar in that time, with worldwide collectors and admirers of his work. This exhibition is set to be the best yet.
