Our wonderful anniversary show which celebrates 20 years of Cornwall Contemporary is now open. Join us on Tuesday 1st September – our official 20th birthday for bubbly and cake all day. We would love to see you all.
An enormous thank you to everyone who visited our 20th Anniversary exhibition, these are just a few of the many beautiful pieces that are going to new homes. We’ve sold over 50 paintings, sculptures and ceramics from the gallery and from our website and are busy sending them around the world – three to Luxembourg 🇱🇺 one to Northern Italy 🇮🇹 five to USA 🇺🇸 with others off to Northern Ireland and across the UK. Big thanks also to our wonderful artists for giving us such special work for this celebratory show – you are all amazing! There are just a couple of days left now to come and enjoy this brilliant show – it ends on Saturday 19th September.
Our eagerly anticipated solo exhibition Odysseys by David Mankin opens next week and I’m delighted to say that you can now view all the works in the exhibition on our website.
This marks David’s 6th solo show at Cornwall Contemporary and his 10th solo exhibition in twelve years and it will also be the book launch for the new publication ‘David Mankin – Language of Paint’ written by Alison Bevan, which takes a close look at David’s artistic process and offers an in depth exploration of David’s remarkable journey since he began painting.
The private view will be at Cornwall Contemporary on Saturday 26th September and David will be here between 11am – 1pm
