Luckily I had help this morning whilst hanging our new exhibitions, in the shape of Fidget (emotional support dog) and husband Dom (shifter/ mover/ wrapper extraordinaire) as I am still battling the lurgy. Have any of you been struck down with it? I hope you’re all staying healthy. But it was still a complete joy to hang Jessica Cooper’s paintings in our attic gallery for her new Boats + Fruit Bowls + The Things In Between exhibition and all of the work for our new Winter Collection by all of our other artists on our other three floors. For any of you who missed our superb David Mankin exhibition, you can still come along to see the unsold pieces which are hanging on our ground floor gallery. Do come along from tomorrow – Wednesday 28th to see all of these wonderful works as we are ready nice and early for you. Plus everyone is welcome at our last private view of 2026 on Saturday 7th November between 11am – 1pm.
This painting feels very appropriate on this wild and stormy morning here in Cornwall – The mighty wind rises roaring seawards by David Mankin. It’s the last two days now of our Odysseys exhibition and for those of you who haven’t yet visited, David will be in the gallery on the last day tomorrow Saturday 24th October between 11am – 2pm
David Mankin’s remarkable large mixed media on canvas ‘Loe Bar’ – part of his solo exhibition Odysseys that is now in its final week at Cornwall Contemporary. This Saturday 24th October is the last chance for you to come along to see this extraordinary exhibition and it’s the perfect chance for you to also meet David as he will be in the gallery between 11am – 2pm
‘The Todden, Cadgwith’ is one of three paintings that will be heading to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc at the end of David Mankin’s exhibition. You have until 24th October to come to Penzance to see this extraordinary exhibition and if you can’t make it in person, you can view all the works and the 3d immersive gallery tour on the Cornwall Contemporary website.
