Our eagerly anticipated solo exhibition Odysseys by David Mankin opens next week and I’m delighted to say that you can now view all the works in the exhibition on our website.
This marks David’s 6th solo show at Cornwall Contemporary and his 10th solo exhibition in twelve years and it will also be the book launch for the new publication ‘David Mankin – Language of Paint’ written by Alison Bevan, which takes a close look at David’s artistic process and offers an in depth exploration of David’s remarkable journey since he began painting.
The private view will be at Cornwall Contemporary on Saturday 26th September and David will be here between 11am – 1pm

Alasdair Lindsay’s ‘Summer Pool’ which has headed off to a new home in London. We have been so busy with our wonderful exhibition which celebrates 20 years of Cornwall Contemporary. A big thank you to everyone who has visited and chosen something to live with – we are shipping works as far as Luxembourg, Germany and USA. You have until 19th September to come and view this exceptional show for yourselves and then we will have our exciting new David Mankin exhibition for you.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped Cornwall Contemporary celebrate our 20th birthday yesterday! I think Penzance was cleaned out of flowers, I received so many! You were all so kind (special mention to Emma McClure who baked the most delicious cake!) thank you to all our wonderful artists and friends who popped by to help us celebrate, it was lovely remembering all the wonderful moments we’ve shared over the last 20 years. Here is Sophie Carter’s beautiful painting Oceans Song – deeply meditative and peaceful and reminding me of the swim I had after work yesterday with special friends 💙
