Cornwall Contemporary Director, Sarah Brittain-Mansbridge was presented an MBE for Services to Art by HRH the Prince of Wales and Duke of Cornwall at a ceremony held at Windsor Castle on 19th November 2025
“What a magical day.
It started with a flurry of snow and culminated in being presented with my MBE for Services to Art from HRH William Prince of Wales and Duke of Cornwall at Windsor Castle.
I am deeply honoured and grateful for this award and so many hands hold this medal with me. The artists who trust me with their work. My brilliant team. The customers around the world who feel more like friends and share our love for Cornish art. My much missed mum, who worked so hard to keep the roof over our heads and would have burst with pride today (your photo is in my pocket) and my husband Dom for being my constant cheerleader and safe harbour.
This is a day I will always cherish.
Now back to working with my wonderful artists as we have an exciting year ahead of us – our 20th year of Cornwall Contemporary with lots of surprises in store!”
