“This collection of paintings represents a working winter.

Sometimes outdoors with the bright, low light of the season, working when the weather allows, chasing the light. At others, indoors – a simple contemplative study. I have always enjoyed the compositional challenge of still life and have painted them throughout my career.

Self portraiture is another construct used to gain deeper understanding of paint, atmosphere and composition.

In the end, it is my hope that the paint and mood of these pictures holds them together as a consistent collection that portrays a true reflection of my daily life as a painter.”
