An exhibition of paintings by Emma McClure in our upstairs gallery in conjunction with her mother Daphne McClure’s exhibition in our main gallery.

Emma McClure was born in London and grew up in Oxfordshire and Cornwall. She studied at Falmouth School of Art, Winchester School of Art (BA Hons Fine Art) and Chelsea School of Art (MA Painting), graduating in 1985. Emma has exhibited extensively across the UK and her paintings are in private collections in the UK, Hong Kong, USA and across Europe. Her paintings have been reproduced on greetings cards by Cannsdown Press, Woodmansterne and the Art Group. Emma lives and works in Cornwall where the landscape and the artistic tradition of the area is a continual source of inspiration, in particular the artists associated with St Ives. Her subject matter is predominantly concerned with landscape, still life and animals, and are often imbued with a gentleness and beautiful sense of colour. Her mother is the renowned Cornish painter Daphne McClure.
