Ken Spooner – Rollin and Tumblin

This new collection of sculpture, painting and ceramics by the inimitable Ken Spooner portrays his life story.
A creative retelling of the events in his life that have influenced him.
Now in his 70’s, this innovative genius shows no sign of slowing down his output.
This is his retrospective. But rather than exhibiting pieces from over the course of a lifetime of making, he is recreating and narrating his life events in each new piece of work. Each painting and sculpture tells a story, subconsciously stumbling onto the canvas or clay.
Weaving through it all, is the music that has been a backdrop to his life. From being in a band as a youth, to passing Jimi Hendrix his guitar, to the beats and riffs and rhythms that have punctuated every stroke of his brush; Rollin and Tumblin ever onwards.

Ken will be performing a live soundscape to accompany the exhibition at the private view.
