Janet Lynch
Janet Lynch: “Painting is in essence a deception, where pigment and marks are transformed by some magic, into other worlds, where ideas can be explored, and emotions experienced. It is not a rational activity, so I have learned to trust the images that occur to me, and to follow wherever the painting leads me.
I am always surprised by the journey and hope that the viewer will take pleasure in the outcome.”
Janet Lynch lives and works in West Cornwall. She studied at St. Martins School of Art and then later returned to art education at Hornsey College after taking time out to raise her family. She has had a prestigious career to date including solo exhibitions at White Space Gallery, Islington Arts Factory and Lauderdale House in London.
