We carefully curate an ever changing mix of studio ceramics at Cornwall Contemporary.

Our ceramics include one off handmade bowls by Charlotte Jones, whose pieces are all made with Cornish clay and are directly inspired by the Cornish landscape, we also show beautiful porcelain by Rebecca Harvey and unique shell vases by Samme Charlesworth. Jane Muir’s quirky figurative sculptures can always be found in the gallery as can Sarah Dunstan‘s beautiful slabware plates, jugs, ‘Treasure’ boxes and ‘Bottle’ vases which have featured on the cover of American magazine ‘Pottery Making Illustrated’. We are also delighted to stock a range of studioware pieces by Leach Pottery – founded in 1920 by Bernard Leach and which has a worldwide reputation for excellence. We also have a selection of Claire Loder’s wonderful sculptural figures in the gallery “her pieces reveal their materiality with delicate and expressive marks that feel like metaphors for human mortality and imperfection” (Ceramics, The Complete Handbook). Lamorna Gore’s exquisite porcelain gold and platinum lustre bowls are always in the gallery and we also have a large range of ceramic birds and abstract ceramic sculptures by iconic artist Ken Spooner.
