In a silent land

The new paintings for this show are taken from snippets of my own personal journey through the past to the present. Images are stored not only from my own memory but from magazines, books, poems, and television. Hundreds of these images will lie on my desk for weeks, some are destroyed some piece together like a jigsaw puzzle others I might to decide to draw on top of the image. Finally when the painting starts I am ready for a whole new journey. A journey which will change before me but still maintain the reasons why I started it in the first place.
