Simon Pooley, Golden North
mixed media on canvas
25 x 30cm
£495

Born in Macclesfield, Cheshire in 1955, Simon Pooley trained as an architect in London, qualifying in1980. He practised in Sheffield for twelve years before moving to Cornwall in 1992 to paint full-time.

Simon’s training as an architect lends an added dimension of structure and draughtsmanship to his painting technique and it is this, combined with his instinctive sense of colour which makes his paintings so beautifully balanced and appealing. He works from a studio surrounded by open countryside not far from Lands End and his work has been exhibited in several galleries across the UK.
