Born in St. Just, Cornwall in 1958, Neil Pinkett began his artistic career as a visualiser in advertising and as an illustrator. Since deciding to paint full time, he has exhibited widely thoughout the UK and also in the USA. His paintings have become widely sought after and his name is synonymous with the Cornish landscape with commissions including the Queen Mary II liner and numerous exhibitions. His current studio overlooks the working harbour at Newlyn and it is this view and the buildings in Penzance which are currently inspiring his subject matter.
