this painting was sold in aid of Surfers Against Sewage

Surfers Against Sewage celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Launching in 1990 as a single-issue pressure group, it has today developed a broad environmental remit helping protect the UK's beaches, seas and recreational water users from a variety of pollution threats.

Our campaigns cover six main areas; sewage, marine litter, climate change, toxic chemicals, shipping and protecting the recreational wave resource which all help protect the coastal environment for everyone and safeguard our beaches and oceans for future
generations to come.

We are very grateful to Alasdair Lindsay for nominating SAS as the sole beneficiary from the sale of his painting ‘Surfer and hut, low sun’. This will contribute essential funds to our important ongoing work protecting the marine environment around the UK.

Enjoy the show.
